Sajid Nadiadwala may have taken recourse to a film deal termination with Sajid Khan to ensure the director the third installment of the Housefull series, but aMumbai Mirror report suggests that the Himmatwaladirector may not have helped his own cause after his comments about actor Akshay Kumar went down badly with the star.
In a recent interview with CNN-IBN‘s Rajeev Masand, the critic asked Khan whether he would be willing to work with newcomers, the director said he could consider it in the future but not presently.
Pointing out that he had only worked with two stars in the past, Khan said, “Both theHousefulls sort of got Akshay out of a bad patch of six to seven flop films. He had a run of six to seven flop films, after which Housefull became the first big grosser in 2010. Then again he had a patch of six to seven flop films. Then again it was Housefull 2.”

Khan’s honesty, however, did not go down well with Kumar, who has a firm footing in the industry after the release ofSpecial 26.
The actor reportedly called Khan immediately after the interview and gave him a piece of his mind resulting in a heated argument between the two which ended, reported theMumbai Mirror.
The actor reportedly also told Khan that he did not want to interact with him any more.
And it was news of this spat reached the ears of producer Sajid Nadiadwala that he decided Khan will not be directing the third part of the successful franchise, while actors Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh are definitely a part of it.
